David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has confirmed that he and his wife Chioma Rowland have welcomed a set of twins .

Speaking at the United Masters Select Con event Saturday, Davido said he and his wife were shaken upon discovering they were expecting twins shortly after their son’s death in October 2022.
The singer said, “When my wife and I found out, we were shaking, and it was in the same month my son passed. My son passed away last year in October, and my wife gave birth this year in October.”
News first surfaced on Friday that the ‘Unavailable’ singer and his wife had welcomed a set of twins: a boy and a girl. In viral video, Chioma could be seen holding the babies as Davido stood proudly by her side.
The couple’s late son, Ifeanyi Adeleke, tragically died last October after drowning in a swimming pool. Davido reflected on the heartbreaking loss of his three-year-old son, Ifeanyi Adeleke, during a recent conversation with CNN’s Larry Madowo.
In the interview, the Afrobeats icon discussed his journey back to creating music and finding solace after taking an extended break from social media. He revealed that he had completed his fourth studio album, “Timeless,” before the tragic loss of his son. However, following the devastating event, he felt compelled to re-record the entire album.
“I know that at the end of the day, people would want Davido to be on stage again, eventually. People would want me to be able to make the thousands of people happy that I do on a daily basis, so obviously, I had to really, really calm myself down, and take a step back,” Davido said.
Through this challenging period, Davido gained a deeper understanding of his calling in music.
“This has shown me that I was really born to do music, because this situation will break anybody…This situation has shown me that for us to be able to come back and regroup ourselves, gather ourselves and be strong enough to do this record, I feel like that is what we are brought to do in this world,” the singer added.
