It was an amazing night for Sean “Diddy” Combs at the 2023 MTV VMAs. The entrepreneur and Hip-Hop mogul was on hand to receive this year’s coveted global icon award. Celebrating in style, Combs hit the Red Carpet with his kids.
The 53-year-old mogul was joined by sons 29-year-old Justin Dior, 25-year-old King, 17-year-old daughter Chance, and 16-year-old twins D’Lila Star and Jessie James. And of course, all of them color-coordinated in stylishly sheek black, grey, and white.
In addition to Diddy’s global icon award, he also received four other nominations at this year’s VMAs. His nominations included: best R&B and best collaboration for his team-up with Metro Boomin, The Weeknd and 21 Savage, best collaboration and best hip-hop for his song “Gotta Move On” with Bryson Tiller, Ashanti and Yung Miami.
Combs has a total of seven children. Missing from the event were 31-year-old actor/musician Quincy Brown and nine-month-old Love Sean.
If you haven’t guessed, Combs has a truly admirable work ethic. The mogul said in a past interview with Vanity Fair that, “I always was a hustler, always,” the celebrity father said in his interview.
He continued, “My first paper route was when I was 12 years old because my mother said she couldn’t get no sneakers (sic) and I wasn’t old enough to work.”
However, he told the popular magazine that the success has found as a result of his work ethic isn’t just for himself, but for everyone.
“Love is a mission. [I] was sent here not to just do those things that are kind of rooted in personal success but to be able to transfer to ‘we,’ and do things that are real change and communal success.”
And that, is unquestionably what Diddy is doing. If you remember, a few days ago, reported by USA Today, the Bad Boy Records founder agreed to give back publishing rights to all artists and writers who have worked with the company. Artists such as Faith Evans, Mase, The Lox, 112, and the estate of The Notorious B.I.G. have all signed agreements to receive their publishing rights. Diddy is definitely putting his words into action.
Congratulations to Diddy on all of his recent accolades and success. We cannot wait to see more pics of him and his kids on the red carpet, social media, and beyond.
