Congratulations to Tobe Nwigwe and his wife on welcoming their third child together. The celebrity couple announced the arrival of their baby earlier this week.

Tobe’s wife, who goes by Fat Nwigwe on Instagram, uploaded a candid of her little one along with the baby’s name. “My baby boy,” the rapper’s wife wrote online. “Chukwueze.” Tobe also shared a video clip that showcased his wife’s labor and delivery experience as well as well as the baby’s adjustment to life outside of his mother’s womb.
“Chukwueze Okwudunaogbo Nwigwe has arrived,” Tobe Nwigwe told his social media fans. “First Name: GOD is King,” the celebrity father went on in explanation of the meaning behind Chukwueze’s name. “Middle: no matter what y’all talkin’ bout THIS is the topic of discussion,” Tobe added. “Last: child of the heavens,” the rapper concluded.

Tobe Nwigwe is was born and raised in the United States, though his family is from Nigeria. “I was the first generation born in the U.S.,” the rapper said during a recent interview with EBONY magazine. “So when I was at home, it was a full Nigerian experience,” Tobe explained. “When I went into the community and to school, it was a full Black American experience. I have a unique crossover that’s extremely genuine. One of my goals is to start collaborating with more Nigerian artists because I feel that’s necessary to bridge the gap between the U.S. and home.”
As a Black father rearing his children in the United States, Tobe understands the struggle that many Black men face when trying to be good dads while also fighting the injustices that come with white supremacy.

“My message for Black fathers is, keep showing up,” Tobe said during his interview with EBONY. “Keep being everything a father is and should be,” the rapper continued. “And keep showin’ ’em that we love to take care of our kids too. Because it’s been a drastic ploy to make it seem like there are none of us around.”
