Happy Birthday, S Joseph Sutton, a.k.a. SJ! Angela Simmons celebrated her son’s third birthday this past weekend with family and friends. The celebrity mom expressed gratitude after a year of incredible challenges.

SJ’s father, Sutton Tennyson Sr., was murdered in a parking structure last year. His death left Angela to rear SJ as a single mother.

“The strength of a mother,” Angela wrote online this past weekend. “The strength of a single mother is a feeling one can never describe,” the celebrity mom shared. Simmons went on to tell her son, “Seeing you into your third year of life means the world to me.”

Angela also paid homage to her son’s father during SJ’s birthday weekend. “Three years ago today …. an angel was born,” the celebrity mom captioned underneath a throwback picture of her with her then-newborn son and Sutton Tennyson Sr. “It’s my baby boy’s birthday,” Angela exclaimed. “I will be flooding your timeline all day.”
