Well, I cannot express how blissfull I was to attend Lakmé Fashion Week- 2017. This was one of the best event I’ve ever been to. It was like castle in the air. I was fascinated by each and every thing over there. So, I’ll give you brief about it. Like the events, shows, my experience, etc, etc..
Lakmé Fashion Week is a bi-annual fashion event that takes place in Mumbai. It’s associated with ‘n’ number of brands. It is run by IMG Reliance and Lakmé (No. 1 beauty and cosmetic brand in India). Lakmé Fashion Week 2017 was commenced on 1st February and ended on 5th February. This was one hell of a awe-inspiring event. An entire week was dedicated to designers.
Shows by Amit Agarwal, Padmaja, Indigene, Naushad Ali, Payal Singhal, Label Ritu Kumar, Nishka Lulla, Anushree Reddy. And the most awaited Grand Finale by Anita Dongre.
The collections were an exhibit. Shimmery fabrics and jewels formed the palette of this collection. A fusion of Indian and Western, the pieces ranged from racy gowns, to super-short dresses, oversized fur coats, lehengas and jackets.
THE GRANDEST❤️
The showstopper was the radiant Kareena Kapoor Khan. She walked wearing Anita Dongre’s outfit. A set-up of crystal chandeliers and music left the audience in awe. The outfits were no short of extravagant either.
With the growing emphasis on social responsibility and environmental impact, Lakmé Fashion Week threw light on the concept of sustainable fashion too.
Lakmé Fashion Week was located at Jio Garden, decorated with lights and flowers. Also, I met some amazing people there.
All of this was like a dream.
Outfit details-
I wore a black top and paired it with a checks skirt. Because checks is back in fashion with a bang. That plain black top is from Whims and Craze. You can get that plain one from MyStore. Red checkered skirt is from Lifestyle store. They’ve an amazing collection. White and red block heels are from Whims and Craze. Bag is from Caprese. I’ve been obsessing over caprese lately.
And, And, this wouldn’t have been possible without your love and support. I feel blessed (On cloud- nine) that I was one of them to receive an invitation to Lakmé Fashion Week, 2017.❤️
