Captain Kapil Kundu, who was martyred in Pakistan’s anti-tank missile strike, had his birthday on February 10. According to his mother, he was supposed to come home on this occasion. Sisters had also prepared for the celebration. To let you know on Sunday, Pakistan had attacked Rajouri and Poonch sector of Jammu and Kashmir with bunker-blowing weapons and anti-tank missiles. In this attack, four jawans, including Capt Kundu, were martyred.

Kundu was only brother and son to his sisters and parents respectively

Kapil had two elder sisters. He belonged to Ransika village of Gurgaon. Sisters are married. Kapil was their only brother. He was just 23 years old and unmarried. His father has already died. His mother told in a conversation with the news channel that Kapil was going to come home on his birthday. The sisters had decided that they would go to the station to receive their brother.

He was full of patriotism since childhood

Captain Kundu was the captain of the Army’s 15 Jammu-Kashmir Light Infantry Unit. He was posted at Rajouri. Capt Kundu studied from Divine Dell International School in Pataudi district. In 2012, he was selected in the NDA, from where he was elected to the Indian Army. He always aspired to become an Army Officer. Kapil’ biopic on Facebook reads:

Life should be big instead of being long!!

Kapil’s mother being a proud mother of our country said,

“Even If I Had More Sons Other Than Kapil I Would Send Them All to Army.”
