Kapoor Khaandan is a prominent Indian show business family with a long history in Hindi cinema. The Big Kapoor Clan also set a Guinness World Record. About 24 people from the extended family have worked in the industry. Along with that Kapoors are the largest screen family of Bollywood. Today its fourth generation is contributing to the film industry. Leaving aside Ranbir, Kareena and Karisma, some members of the third and fourth generation of India’s first film family, the Kapoors, chose to stay away from the limelight. Read out the text:
1) Riddhima Kapoor
Riddhima is an elder Daughter of actors Neetu Singh and Rishi Kapoor. Actor Ranbir Kapoor is her younger brother. But she chose to away from the silver screen. She is a jewelry designer and married to industrialist Bharat Sahni. The couple has a cute daughter together named Samara.
2) Kunal Kapoor
He is the elder son of late actor Shashi Kapoor and Jennifer Kendal. In the year 1981, he debuted in Bollywood with a film titled Ahista Ahista opposite Padmini Kolhapure. In 1982 he appeared in Vijeta. After that he appeared in the art films Utsav (1984) and Trikal (1985). Trikal was his last film appearance. Kunal later quit acting and set up his own Ad company, Adfilm-Valas, and started producing and directing television commercials.
3) Sanjana Kapoor
She is a daughter of Shashi Kapoor and Jennifer Kendal. She is an Indian theatre personality and former Indian film actress of British and Indian descent.She ran the Prithvi Theatre in Mumbai from 1993 to February 2012. She launched her own theatre company, Junoon in 2012, which would work with traveling groups staging plays at smaller venues across India.
4) Karan Kapoor
Karan Kapoor is a younger son of Shashi Kapoor and Jennifer Kendal. He is a well known model and actor in the early 1980s. After doing a few films he quit acting and started pursuing photography. He is now an established photographer in London.
5) Ritu Kapoor
Raj Kapoor’s elder daughter, Ritu was born in 1948. She is a prominent insurance advisor associated chiefly with the life insurance business. She is currently the chairwoman and chief executive officer of Ritu Nanda Insurance Services (RNIS). Ritu has two children, Nikhil and Natasha. Nikhil is married to Shweta Nanda, daughter of Amitabh Bachchan.
6) Reema Kapoor Jain
Raj Kapoor’s second daughter too stayed away from films. She is married to Manoj Jain and has two sons – Armaan and Aadar.
7) Aditya Raj Kapoor
Aditya Raj Kapoor is the son of late actor Shammi Kapoor and actress Geeta Bali. Aditya decided to become a businessman.
8) Kanchan Desai
Kanchan Desai is a daughter of Shammi Kapoor and Geeta Bali. Kanchan is married to businessman Ketan Desai who is the son of popular late producer-director, Manmohan Desai. They have two daughters – Pooja and Raj Rajeshwari.
