Before Bullet Train, Japan Has Given India These 5 Special and Historical Things

Everyone knows that Japan has been an old and very good friend of India. This is the reason it is giving us money along with technology to build the country’s first bullet train. But do you know that before bullet train, Japan has given India many things in terms of technology and modernity and we are so thankful for them.

1) Japan and Maruti Car

Years ago when in India, biscuits meant for parle-G, toothpaste for Colgate, the cars were meant for Maruti. People didn’t call them cars but Maruti. In India, this company was introduced by Sanjay Gandhi in the year 1970. But this company faced loss. Then Japanese company collaborated with it and the company became Maruti Suzuki in the year 1982. This car became a status symbol in India. In 1984, the company had given Maruti van, the same car which is used in kidnapping in the films. In 1985, India got gipsy. Move this vehicle anywhere in mud, forest, and farm barn it will keep moving. Today, 51 percent of the Indian car market is in the possession of Maruti Suzuki.

2) Yamaha Bike

Who can forget Yamaha’s RX 100 bike? It means that the boy who used to ride this bike did not consider him less than the son of Tata-Birla. With solid pick-up and speed, this bike was not less than a boon for people who loved speed. It gave the average of 40. People are still crazy after its sound it makes.

3) Sony’s Walkman

The real revolution came in the late 1990’s. When people got fed up of listening songs from Murphy Radio etc, Japanese company Sony introduced its Walkman. Those who had this walkman, consider them to be a dude. Every school-college boy just wanted to get this hand in hand. At that time, the iPhone was not there and so girls were impressed by Walkman. Then Sony introduced Colour TV, LCD TV, Washing Machines, Cd and DVD Player.

4) Yashica’s Colour Camera

Japanese company Yashica introduced a colour camera named MS-2 in 1985-90. It costs Rs 2000. The result was awesome. This made professional as well as casual photography easy in our country. Then Japanese companies Kanon and Nikon came and introduced digital cameras.

5) Delhi Metro

Japan also helped us in making Delhi Metro project successful. Japanese banks gave loans, a vision of technology to introduce them in the country and now Japan is all set to give us Bullet Train. It will be the first bullet train of India to run between Mumbai and Ahmedabad. It is a plan to start it by August 15, 2022. 1.1 lakh crore will be spent on this project. Japan is giving 81 percent or 90 thousand crore rupees. That too at the rate of 0.1 percent interest. India has to pay it in 50 years.
