The other allegations include 65 counts of assault by penetration contrary to Section 2 of the Act and 52 counts of sexual assault contrary to section 3 of the Act.
According to the NDTV, Metropolitan Police said: “The NHS (National Health Service) has a dedicated number for any individuals who may have concerns or questions. They can be contacted on 0800 011 4253.”
In August 2014, Shah was first suspended for four months by the General Medical Council (GMC).
Interestingly GMC was unaware that Shah was still listed as working on the Southend-on-Sea surgery website. A spokesperson for the GMC told Daily Mail: “We do not comment on ongoing investigations. Dr Manish Shah had conditions placed on his practice in 2013 preventing him from seeing female patients alone and was suspended from the register in 2014.”
