On Tuesday, BJP member Meenakshi Lekhi said in the Lok Sabha that Cow Urine helped government officer to recover from serious illness. According to the ABP Live, Lekhi said: “A former additional solicitor general was seriously ill but he finally started recovering when administered cow urine.”

Lekhi also expressed her curiosity on whether the government has plans to spread awareness regarding ancient science related to cows.

In responding to Lekhi’s question, Agriculture Minister Radha Mohan Singh said under the Rashtriya Gomang Utpadakta Mission, the government will be going to launch a genome centre in Karnal.

Meanwhile, Speaker Sumitra Mahajan said: “Medicine is Medicine”.

Also, in March 2015, as per reported by India Today, BJP member Shankarbhai N said that: “If you want to save yourself from cancer, there is a need to protect cows on a priority because cow urine is effective in curing cancer completely. It can cure cent per cent. I can vouch for it. Nobody wants to hear this.”
