Rawalpindi Express Shoaib Akhtar Reveals He Wanted To Hit This Cricketer Badly And the Name is Not Sachin!

The Pakistani speedster also called as Rawalpindi Express, Shoaib Akhtar recently revealed something very shocking which is a mismatch to what we call the “sports spirit”. World’s fastest bowler Shoaib Akhtar, known for being aggressive player throughout his career, has hurt many top batsmen with his speed and lethal Yorkers.

In his shocking revelation, he made via his Twitter handle, he said, there was one such cricketer whom he always intended to ‘hit badly’ during his career, but never succeeded. And before you make any speculation, no the name is not Sachin Tendulkar. In his career, he made 19 batsmen retired hurt after being hit by him in his aggressive bowling spell.

He tweeted,
“I wanted to hit (him) badly during my playing days & I did that many times during test & practice games…”

And the name is none other than the former Australian cricketer Matthew Hayden. The left-handed opening batsman who was known for his ability to score quickly at both Test and ODI formats. However, after stating this, Akhtar also went onto state how the two have now become the best of friends post their cricketing career.

He tweeted again,

“But now we are best of friends now & I think he’s 1 of the most generous & kind human being I ever met is Matthew Hayden”
