A 41-year-old man who raped and murdered a 3-year-old girl in Yemen has been executed with a machine gun. Muhammad al-Maghrabi’s execution was broadcast live on TV across the country. He was shot dead with an AK-47 rifle at point blank range.

The image shows him laying on the floor with his hands bound behind his back. Thousands of people gathered in the city’s main square to watch the execution. Maghrabi raped the girl during Eid-al-Fitr on 24th June, which noticeable the end of Ramadan.
He was brought to the ground zero in a police truck. As he lay on the floor, police officers shot him in the back.
Yemen’s Legal System
The legal system of the Yemen is based on the combination of three laws, Sharia law, French civil code imposed during the colonial era and old Egyptian law.
But, according to the US department, Sharia law is the core of the Constitution. Murder is punishable by death in Yemen. Most of the murderers are beheaded in the country.
