Mohammad Kaif is criticized heavily for posting a picture of him with his son while playing Chess. Trolls call it anti-Islam or Haraam in Islam.

Is Playing Chess Forbidden In Islam?

There are different opinions on this question. According to the Chess And Islam,  the playing of chess is permissible but it must be stated that this was the first view of the great Imam but even then he fixed certain conditions for its permissibility (according to the  Mazhab (school of thoughts) of Imam Shafi’ee R A).

Hazrat Ali also said: “Chess is gambling of the Ajam people (non-Arabs).”

However, Mohammad Kaif was earlier also trolled for doing a Surya Namaskar. Kaif in December 2016, had posted some pictures of him practising Surya Namaskar.
