The Indian cricketer Mohammad Shami has witnessed an incident of abuse and attack at his flat in Kolkata. Three youths allegedly attacked cricketer Mohammed Shami late on Saturday when the Team India member was returning home to Katju Nagar, close to South City Mall. They have been arrested now.

The whole incident was, Mohammad Shami stopped his car in front of the apartment gate and was waiting for the caretaker to clear the way to the garage when three inebriated young boys seated on a motorcycle abused him for parking his car on the road. Not only this, the trio also assaulted the caretaker who rushed to Shami immediately for help.
These three boys then left the place and then returned after 15 minutes again. They forced their way into the building and allegedly tried to enter the cricketer’s apartment. After that Shami called the police. The entire incident was captured on CCTV cameras installed in the building. In its investigation, the Police identified the youths as Jayanta Sarkar, Swarup Sarkar and Shiva Pramanik, who run a nearby salon.
