A father has been arrested for raping his own 11-year-old daughter in Uttar Pradesh’s Badaun. The incident happened at Aurangabad Tappa village on Saturday night.
The minor girl stated the barbaric act to her uncle, Rajendra, who later on filed a police complaint against his own brother (accused), with the help of other villagers.

According to the Superintendent of Police (rural), Surendra Pratap Singh, the man was arrested on Sunday and the medical examination of the girl is to be carried out today.
As per the data from the country’s National Crime Records Bureau (NCRB), 34,651 cases of rape were reported across India in 2015.
In 2012, there were 24,923 rape cases were recorded, out of which, 24,470 were committed by someone known to the victim.
