Beware From Dumping Trash In Ganga Otherwise You Will Be Fined Rs 50,000 – NGT’s Strict Warning

Those who really think nobody is watching them while they are making the holy river Ganga filthy by their acts of dumping trash here is a news for you. You may soon be fined Rs 50,000, as the National Green Tribunal has strongly recommended this fine to make sure that there is no more damage to the water bodies.

As per the reports, this order is passed by the Supreme Court Uttarakhand High Court order declaring the Ganga and Yamuna rivers “living entities”. A bench of NGT, headed by chairperson Justice Swatanter Kumar, directed authorities to impose the Rs 50,000 for-dumping penalty. Not only you are restricted to dump the trash into the rivers but also restricted to dump it within 500 meters from the edge of the Ganga on the Haridwar-Unnao stretch. 

The area within 100 meters from the edge of the river Ganga be declared a ‘no-development zone’. So those who are not ready to listen to the appeals of government for not throwing waste in the rivers it’s a time to reform yourselves otherwise be ready with 50,000 cash in hand.
