Terrorism has no religion and so as the humanity! Proving the statement true this Muslim driver from Gujarat named Sheikh Saleem saved many lives from terrorists with his presence of mind. There were 56 passengers traveling in the ill-fated bus, which came under terror attack in Anantnag on Monday evening. While seven of the passengers were gunned down by the terrorists, the 49 others who made it alive have one person to thank, driver Sheikh Saleem.

This ill-fated which came under terror attack bus was registered under Gujarat. During the attack, Saleem did not stop and continued driving till they reached safety. Saleem’s cousin Javed told the media that he received a call around 9:30 pm from Saleem informing about the terror attack in Anantnag district. Jave said, 

“He couldn’t save seven lives but managed to move 50 people to a safe place. We are proud of him. He told me that he did not stop there when terrorists fired, he only looked for a safer spot for pilgrims.”

When the Chief Minister of Gujarat Vijay Rupani said came to know about he announced,

“I want to thank bus driver for saving lives of people even when there was firing going on. We will nominate his name for the bravery award.”
