A mother killed her own 2-year-old daughter and then sent a final picture of her to her dad after their relationship ended. Cody-Anne Jackson sent her ex Paul Hogan a picture of their daughter, Macey Hogan and wrote: “Sorry, just thought you deserved one last picture and memory of her.”

According to The Sun, Jackson tried to commit suicide and even left a suicide note, reading: “I do not want to leave her behind but I can’t go on either. There is nothing for me or Macey.”
Paul had moved out of the home days before the tragedy. Prosecutor, John Hankin QC said that on October 8, that Jackson sent a text message to Paul with the picture of Macey.
He added: “A similar pattern ensued the next day with Cody calling him repeatedly and him not picking up. As far as she was concerned the relationship was finished. On October 9, for the first time, she was forced to confront the reality of being on her own. She spent the rest of the day at home alone with Macey.”

Jackson spent the whole night with her daughter and dialed 999 on the morning of October 9 and reported that she was not breathing.
Hankin QC stated that the child suffered widespread brain damage caused by the interruption of oxygenated blood supply to the brain. Something has interfered with her ability to breathe.
But Jackson claimed that when she woke she found Macey next to her in between two pillows and when she moved the pillow, she realized that her daughter was dead.
