Cristiano Ronaldo has announced that he has become a father of twin boys via a surrogate mother. Ronaldo is returning home as he has been released by the Portuguese Football Federation from Portugal’s squad at the Confederations Cup in Russia. The superstar will not play in the third-place playoff on Sunday.

According to The Independent, Cristiano Ronaldo said in a statement on Facebook: “I was in the service of the National Team, as it always happens, body and soul, even though I knew my two sons were born. Unfortunately, we have not been able to achieve the main sporting objective we wanted, but I am sure we will continue to give the Portuguese joy.”
Ronaldo further added: “The President of the Portuguese Football Federation and the National Selector had an attitude today that sensitized me and I will not forget. I am very happy to finally be able to be with my children for the first time.”

Portuguese Football Federation (FA(FPF)) has released a statement, “Even before the starting of the Confederations Cup, we were aware that Ronaldo had become a father. He has given full service to national team despite the birth of his children which is highly appreciable.”
