Ganesh Chaturthi
This festival is also known as Vinayak Chaturthi is a 10 days long festival that ends on Anant Chaturdashi or the 14th day of the waxing moon period. The festival is celebrated in the month of August or September the month of Bhado. The festival is celebrated on a grand scale in Maharashtra, Karnataka, and Telangana. People set up pandals and set huge statues of Ganesha which have been beautifully decorated. If seen in general, the festival of Onam is celebrated in the fields as a celebration of the new crop. It is believed that in these festivals, for three days, King Mahabali from Patalalok comes to Earth and brings joy and happiness with the new crop of his subjects. This is the reason why people make clay idols of King Bali in the courtyard of their homes at this festival. People make beautiful Rangolis with flower petals in the courtyard of their homes on this day, in the local language, these Rangolis are called ‘Pookalam’.

Pitru Paksha
Pitru paksha is a 16 days period of Shraddha (sraddh) from Bhadrapada Purnima to Sarva Pitru Amavasya. It is also known as Shraddha Paksha. It is the period when Hindus pay homage to their ancestors, especially through food offerings. According to Hindu mythology, Pitru paksha day is considered to be very inauspicious for any new beginnings but it is the perfect day for all who is not able to do proper tharpanam for their dead ancestors. These days are marked with pujas, rituals, and daan, that pay homage to the departed soul and helps the latter attain liberation of moksha.

Ramnagar Ramlila

Abhaneri Festival
The Abhaneri Festival is a cultural event that runs for two days since its inception in 2008 and promotes Rajasthani rural culture and tourism. It is celebrated in the period between the Kajli Teej and the Marwar festival of Jodhpur, usually in September and/or October. The festival name Abhaneri is after the village name in the Dausa district which is around 90 km from Jaipur.

Brahmotsavam Festival, Tirupati
Brahmotsavam Festival is one of the important festival of Lord Venkateswara Temple, Tirumala. It is celebrated for nine days in the month of September and October involving the procession of festival images on gaily decorated mounts. Lord Venkateswara, along with his consorts Sridevi and Bhudevi, is taken on a procession along the streets (madaveedhulu) surrounding the temple. This year in 2020 there is one extra month i.e. 13 months instead of 12 months in the traditional Hindu lunar calendar, two Brahmotsavams are being conducted at the shrine.
