Disregard Rumours On Increase Of Tuition Fees - Unilag, Unilorin Management
Rumours has been making round all over the Internet and on Media that about 38 schools have increased their school fees.
The Management of some of the schools that were mention to be among the 38 schools rumoured to have increased their school fees have released publicly and advising students and aspirants to disregard such rumours.
The management of University of Lagos [UNILAG] specially notice released "Has the Management notice message currently trending in the print, electronic and social media about a dramatic increase in tuition fees in the University of Lagos.
The management assure you and your parents/guardians that there is no such increase in tuition fees.
Equivalent, the management of University of IIorin [UNILORIN] has released a notice that reads thus, "The attention of the management of the University of IIorin has been drawn to news report in some newspapers today listing University of Ilorin among 38 University that have increased their school fees.
According to the Ilorin Office of management, "We want to state categorically that there is no proved truth in the report. The University's management has never met to decide on any fees increase because we are still running the 2016/2017 Academic Session.
Adhere any case, [UNILORIN], being a Federal Government Institution doesn't charge tuition fees, as tuition is free in public university. The little charges we collect are for utilities and not for tuition.
Therefore, the report was meant to cause unnecessary panic among Nigeria Parents".
Hence Students' are adviced to disregard any rumor on increase of school fees as the rumour is not true.
