September '17 Lessons & Favourites

In all honesty, it's been an enlightening 4 weeks for me this September.

I learnt that when you're set on your course, you should allow no distractions. Such things drag you back and deter your goals.

Alas, why so serious? This is a joyful moment really. I so enjoyed doing these "monthly favourites" posts, I asked and you said yes, so here we are.

Beauty Fave:

Funnily enough, I've been wearing more makeup even as I've been wearing less. It's an all or none law for me these days so I either wear enough makeup or none at all. No middle stance for this gal.

Everytime I've been wearing makeup, other than my go-to red Lippie, it's been this Classic makeup "coffee" lipstick. In the picture above I toned it down a bit with nude gloss for that perfect brown shade.

Fashion faves:

These mules? You're also going to see them in the next outfit post on (Monday). That's how much I love 'em. I also wore them in a Monochrome lookbook, (a collaboration with Ralph Kem on his YouTube channel). Thrifted at 2000 Naira, I like them quite a lot.

These vintage square glasses? Yasss hunay! They were my Uncle's back in the day and with the rise of vintage accessories, I tried it out and worked quite well for my Ultimate Lazy Girl's Guide To Productivity.

Random faves:

-Quote:

Presume not that I am what I once was.
                                         -Shakespear

-Book:

Where she went by Gayle Forman. I and actually read the first book without knowing there was another. Imagine my excitement.

-Objects:

This was a present from my aunt that makes me smile so much. It's a cuplens. Cup designed like camera lens. I'm not sure I'd be able to even use it because staring at it gives me a wholesome amount of joy.

I have started painting again and this brings me so much joy.

Music:

Still stuck on Lorde's 2017 album. This would be weird for anyone but me.

Movie:

My fair lady, A. K. A my other sound of music. Audrey Hepburn stars in this delightful movie and speaks far terrible English than one would expect. She tries to increase her station in life by learning to speak properly and her teacher would be a professor and a snob. Don't you just love it already? It's actually a musical.

This was a good month I would say.

What would you like me to blog about next month?

Leave a comment, I'd love to hear from you.

PS: I'll be doing a how-to on stop motion in mid-October so stay tuned.
