Lost in your 20's

It's that Constant pit in your stomach, it's a worrying but you don't know what exactly you are worrying about. It's a constant need to be chasing and grinding but you're not quite sure what exactly it is that you are or should be chasing. It's trying to differentiate the real authentic you with the version of yourself you think you should be creating. It's a confusing roller coaster of a time.
Your 20's may not be quite like you had imagine when you were a kid. Probably less glamour and glitz. It may not feel or look like how you had hoped it would, but it's not over yet. We assess our lives and compare to other people our age because we think that's what we need to do in order to get ahead in life or stay on top of our "A" game...we call it "motivation, but really it's just suffocation from a constant need to compare and evaluate. So what now, what do you do to get rid of this nauseous melancholy state?
You enjoy life's simple pleasures, you read more books, you watch more sunsets, you laugh more and plan less. You be spontaneous but still have a small safety net to fall to. You realize that this moment right here is the "good old days". This time in your life is to be lived for what it is right now. Maybe along the way you'll have some amazing highs and a few falls, but if you don't live in this week, this month, this moment, you'll never get it back. Your body is here but your mind is elsewhere and that is where that disconnect lies. That is where that anxiety is stemming from. It's the comparison, the planning, all of it. Plan a little for the future but don't live there, because you'll miss out on a beautiful journey. Fuck fear of failure, and just DO. Just live and rediscover yourself. You aren't lost, you are evolving and that can be an uncomfortable shift just like any growth spurt.
