Warm up, Cheer up!

The holidays are here and I couldn't be more excited about it! I Love spending time with friends and family, reflecting on the year, and feeling inspired for the new year.
Although I Love Love LOVE this season, sometimes it can be difficult to stay happy and upbeat when the weather is so gloomy. Here, it gets dark around 4 o'clock, which tells my brain it's time to unwind for the day...which is so not true. Here are just a few of my tips and tricks to stay motivated in the dark winter months!
1. Bundle up
Being cold is no fun at all and will just tire you out from all that shivering! Crank up the heat, or dress warm and stay cozy.
2. Plan things out
For me, I get home from work or school and just feel like chilling out because I think it's too dark out to go anywhere or do anything (I know... doesn't make sense). If I plan to do something holiday oriented AFTER work/school then I'm excited and feel more motivated to do something since it's already all planned out!
3. Switch things up
Maybe try adding in a couple new decor pieces to your home to brighten the place up! Christmas lights, pops of yellow, or some live plants to keep the atmosphere looking fresh and lively.
