Hobby : "An activity done regularly in one's leisure time for pleasure" 

The other day I was asked what my Hobbies were. When I was younger I would've said something like soccer, or going to the mall, or something like that...basic answers which just let you know what I get up to when not at school. Now being 21 when asked this question, I don't play soccer anymore, I only really go to the mall when I need to pick something up real quick, I now kayak a few times a year, go for walks, and basically just new basic answers of things I do when not at school or work. My first reaction when I was asked what my hobbies were was to say " life is my hobby" and I didn't mean that in some weird ass philosophical way... I literally just mean that I have made my life to become my passion which is also my hobby. I've never been one to just put up with something mediocre. If I don't like my job, I quit, I'm not just going to "suck it up" when something comes between me and my hobby of "life". I love taking mindful moments each day rather than sitting down twice a day to meditate. I take my time getting up in the morning and soak in the process of rolling out of bed and feeling the sun shine through my curtains, I love having my dog run up to me every morning to say hi, I love preparing my breakfast, doing my skincare routine, putting on my makeup, brushing out my hair, etc. My life IS my hobby. It's taken years for it to fully become my hobby and of course I'm still working on little everyday improvements but realizing this was kind of a proud moment. The fact that "life is my hobby" is the first thing that came to my mind when asked what my hobbies are feels pretty good.
