My friends and I talk a lot about not fully Knowing what we are going to be doing with the rest of our lives. We are in our 20's, or course we aren't certain of what road lies ahead for us. The feeling of not knowing though causes anxiety and tends to cause us to start comparing to others. We see our life and it's behind the scenes and compare it to everyone else's highlight reel. We tend to  be unrealistic in thinking that everyone else has it so much better, or has so much potential ahead of them and we assume they just "have it all figured out". Honestly? I haven't met a single person who has had their life go according to plan. I know people who at 40 years old are now in school to obtain the career of their dreams. Stop putting a Timeline on YOUR life. It's our own personal world and it's time we recognize that. Maybe you started school later than all your friends, maybe you still don't have your driver's license, maybe you don't want to be married with children... so. fucking. what. Not one single person on this planet can tell you how to live your life as long as you are happy. Instead of focusing on your "timeline" of when you need to have it "all figured out", make one goal and stick to it. I challenge your goal for the rest of this year to be happy and not think about what others appear to be doing with their lives. There is no timeline for the life YOU CREATE.
