Monday, February 12, 2018 – Monday, February 19, 2018

As of this moment:

Prologue: 530 Words

Chapter 1: 1, 256 Words

Chapter 2: 2,848 Words

Chapter 3: 2,292 Words

Chapter 4: 2,747 Words

Total: 9,914 Words. SO CLOSE TO 10K I CAN TASTE IT

Notes: Not too many big corrections or big notes for me to come back to once my draft is finished. But, I realized my original plan for this chapter has to be split in two. So, I’m planning on writing Chapters 5 and 6 this week, I think I can do it if I don’t procrastinate.

Here’s our passage for today. It’s a bit harder to find one for this week.

My footsteps upon the stone path caused her to lift her head. She looked at me and smiled as I walked to her. As I drew closer, I began to panic about what I would say to her. I stood in front of her and before I could open my mouth she said,

“You are allowed to go?”

I remained silent and nodded. She shifted to the left and patted the seat beside her. I sat next to her, and she folded her book in her lap. We sat in silence, listening to the leaves rustle and the fountain gurgle.

“How did you know?” I asked, breaking our reverie.

“You looked scared to talk to me,” she said, her face taking on a look of melancholy. She wrapped her arm around me. She sighed a deep, long sigh and said, “Peter. You have to promise me you’ll be as safe as possible.”

My arm wrapped around my mother and we pulled each other into an embrace. She held me tightly, and I whispered,

“I’ll do my best.”

Thanks for reading! I’ve got a special story for ya’ll tomorrow, and I’ve entered a writing contest, and I need to get that story done. When I do get it done, I won’t post it until the end of the contest, just in case I win something because you never know, do you? I also had a few more ideas for articles today, so next Wednesday we have another article. Again, Partners in Crime is getting worked on as well as Ante Bellum, in addition to my novel.

Now, I’ve been struggling to come up with a working title and I’m tired of saying TotS. It’s tiring and lifeless. From the snippets you’ve read so far, do you have any ideas for some working titles? Even if you don’t think they’re any good, it might help me in the long run with the final title. Comment, or use the form.

Thanks for reading all the way down!
