The Trip to England: Day 4 – Oxford

All of these pictures were taken on my phone.

Day 4. Journal Entry began 4:14 PM EST, 21:14 London time. December 21, 2017

We woke up about noon and walked into Oxford. These are some things that caught my eye.

More things we saw when we got into town.

We went to Magdalen College – University of Oxford (also, it’s pronounced Maud-eh-lynn)

The gothic architecture was stunning and all of the details were amazing.

We walked through the back of Magdalen and eventually came upon Christ’s College.

We made our way through town, stopping at the post office, and then to the town hall. Unfortunately, the small museum there didn’t allow pictures. But the main staircase had a cool Gargoyle.

We passed by the Radcliffe Camera (meaning chamber(s) )

Then we went to a church, I cannot remember the name of.

And then we walked home, which KILLED US BECAUSE IT WAS UPHILL!

Then we had dinner with the friends that helped us stay here and they introduced us to mincemeat pies. I loved them! They’re kind of difficult to explain. Anyway, I heard that Americans, in particular, don’t really like it.

Journal Entry terminated 4:30 PM EST 21:30 London time. December 21, 2017
