If you want to apply Schema Markup on your WordPress Website then follow these steps.

Step 1: Login into Your WordPress Admin Dashboard.

Step 2: Go to Plugins and click on Add New.

Step 3: Install and Activate Schema Plugin.

Step 4: Go to Settings in Schema.

Step 5: In Settings, First it will ask Site Type and Publisher Logo under General. So choose your website type and upload your website logo. After adding the website type and logo, Click on Save Changes.

Step 6: After General, You will see the Knowledge Graph. In this, you will see 4 options.

  • Search Results
  • Social Profiles
  • Corporate Contacts
  • a. Organization Info:
    • In organization info, it will ask if you are an Organization or Person.
    • If you will choose Person then you will fill only your Website Name or URL.
    • When you will choose Organization then you will fill in your Website Name, URL, Logo.
    • After choosing Person or Organization, Click on Save Changes.
  • b. Search Results:
    • After Organization Info, you will see Search Results in a clickable link.
    • So go to Search Results.
    • Enable Sitelink Search box and Site Name.
    • Put your Site Name and Alternative name if you have any.
    • Click on Save Changes.
  • c. Social Profiles:
    • In Social Profiles, add all your social media profile links here. Facebook Page, Twitter, Pinterest, etc.
    • After adding all links, click on Save Changes.
  • d. Corporate Contacts:
    • In this, you will add your Contact Number, Contact Page. You can choose others also. Click on Save Changes.

Step 7: You will see Schema after Search Results.

Choose your website About us and Contact Us Pages in Special Pages Section.

You can enable other options.

Click on Save Changes.

If you want to apply Schema early then you can do it by Quick Configuration Wizard.

So after applying schema, it will show your website on Search Engines with your Pages, Social Profiles, Logo, name, Contact Info.

Schema Markup will show by Search Engines like Google. The search engines will add themselves. You can not do more about it.

Step 1: Go to Plugins and click on Add New.

Step 3: If you want to add Schema for your Blog Posts then go to your WordPress Posts and Schema Section will show after the Post.

It will show this to you.

Step 4: Select the Post, in our case, we choose Article. After choosing Article, it will ask you for the following details for your blog posts.

  • Article Image
  • Article name
  • Short Description
  • Author
  • Publisher Organization
  • Publisher logo

Example: We have a Post How to Add Email Subscription to WordPress then we have applied schema on it through filling all the above details.

OR

After applying the Article Rich Snippets on your blog then it will show the Summary of your blog after the post like this.

If you want to review an article for rich snippets then do this:

Step 1: Go to Configure Rich Snippet.

Step 2: Choose the Item Review option for your article.

Step 3: It will ask you for the Reviewer’s Name, Review Item, Your Rating. ( Do this if you write a review of any products.)

Here we put the author name in the reviewer’s name, place the blog title in the Review Item and Give the Rating like this.

Then it will show like this after the post:

This article will show in the Google SERP with ratings guaranteed.
