Step 1: Login into Your WordPress Admin Dashboard and click on Plugins.

Step 2: Click Add New in the Plugins section.

Step 3: Search for the WP Subscribe plugin. Install WP Subscribe. After installation, activate this plugin.

Step 4: WP Subscribe supports email marketing tools like Feedburner, Aweber, MailChimp. You can use any of the tools which do you want to integrate with WP Subscribe. In our case, we will connect Mailchimp to WP Subscribe.

Email Marketing tool is necessary because if anyone subscribes to your blog then his detail will go to the list of email marketing tools like MailChimp, Feedburner, etc.

Step 5: After WP Subscribe installation, Go to Appearance and Click Widgets.

Step 6: When you will go to Widgets, you will see many widgets option under Available Widgets. In Available Widgets, you will see the WP Subscribe widget at the bottom.

Step 7: Go to the WP Subscribe widget and it will ask where you want to add the Email Subscription Form. Here you will get the following option for adding the widgets.

You can add an email subscription anywhere in WordPress. So in our case, we will add the email subscription form in Sidebar.

Step 8: Choose Sidebar and Click on Add Widget in the blue box.

Step 9: WP Subscribe Widget will add to the sidebar of your WordPress blog or website. When you will click on WP Subscribe Widget in the sidebar then it will ask you to choose your Email Marketing platform.

You can add any email marketing tools like MailChimp, Aweber, and Feedburner.

Step 10: Here we will integrate MailChimp Email Marketing tool. Create an Account on MailChimp.

MailChimp is a Freemium tool means you can use both free and paid versions. MailChimp will provide you the 2000 Subscribers, in the free version. After 2000 subscribers, it will available in premium.

So sign up with your email, username, and password.

Step 11: After signing up, you will get a confirmation email on your registered mail. To confirm your email and Create a List in MailChimp.

Step 12: Go to Lists in Menu of MailChimp. Click on Create List.

Step 13: After creating a list, Go to WP Subscribe Widget and it will ask you the following things.

  • Service
  • MailChimp API URL
  • MailChimp List

So Choose MailChimp in Service.

  • So Choose MailChimp in Service.
  • Put your MailChimp API in the MailChimp API URL. You will get API Key from your MailChimp account. Go to Account and Click Extra. So copy the API key and paste it into MailChimp API URL.
  • .Go to MailChimp List and Click on Get List. It will provide you with the List Name Automatically. Choose your created list.
  • Choose both options, Send a double opt-in notification, and Include Name Field.

Step 12: Click on Save appeared on the blue button. Your Email Subscription form is ready.

If you want to change the text of the Email Subscription form then choose Labels and change the text according to you.
