Tags: cape cod cape

One vacation spot that people love is Cape Cod. Some people might not be able to get the opportunity to see Cape Cod in the summer due to the high demand for tourists. What some may not know is that Cape Cod is beautiful during its off season as well! The months of June, September, and October through the end of winter are considered to be Cape Cod's off season. Cape Cod is the perfect place to visit during the off season since there are less crowds and there are reduced rates on the expenses of vacationing. Here are five things to do in Cape Cod during off season.

1. Provincetown
Provicetown is a beautiful location, and it is very popular in the summertime. But, the amount of things to do in Provicetown stays the same during the winter months. During the off season, there is a lot of artsy things to do in the city such as concerts and visiting art exhibits. There are also a lot of shops that are popular for people to visit.

2. Enjoy uncrowded beaches
Although it might be a bit chilly on the beaches during the off season, the enjoyment of looking at an uncrowded beach is worth freezing for a little while. A popular thing for off season travelers to do in Cape Cod is to walk along the beach or ride their bikes along the beach. Without there being a ton of people on the beach, people are able to enjoy a peaceful walk any time of the day.

3. Cape Cod Potato Chip Factory
If you didn't know, Cape Cod is famous for their potato chips. Visiting the place where the magic happens is a perfect thing to do when it is chilly outside. You won't make yourself feel guilty when it comes to spending all day inside of this factory. When touring the factory, guests get to see how these amazing chips are made.

4. Walk Cape Cod Trails
A nice thing about taking a chilly walk is that you don't have to worry about it being too hot. You can bundle up in your favorite layers and witness the beauty of the Cape Cod trails. Some Cape Cod trails in Provincetown to walk along are Whistle Path Woods and Hatches Harbor Trail. Another thing that you could do is walk along the Bourne Bridge during the off season as well.

5. Cape Cod museums
Just like visiting the factory, visiting a museum during a chilly day is not a bad idea. Cape Cod has a lot of museums for people of any age to enjoy. Some cool museums to check out include Sandwich Glass Museum, which is, you guessed it, a museum that showcases glass through various galleries, and the Cape Cod Maritime Museum, which is a museum that preserved all of the past memories of Cape Cod.
