Best Places to Eat in Branson, Missouri


Branson, known for its fabulous shows, also has some wonderful places to eat. If you are visiting the area and staying in a vacation rental such as Amazing Branson Rentals or a beautiful hotel nearby, here is a list of all the best places to eat during your trip to Branson, Missouri.


White River Fish House
417 Magazine named this the best Restaurant in Branson. The views of Lake Taneykomo are inspiring, and their maple-glazed salmon, topped with their own home made pecan butter, is delectable. They have a wide variety on their menu, so you can choose from burgers, steak, or seafood.
Dobyns Dining Room
You can find this fine restaurant at the College of the Ozarks at the Keeter Center. Not only is the food delicious, but students help run the eatery with their own farms and student-produced foods. Be sure to try their famous smoked meatloaf and vegetables. This restaurant has won the Certificate of Excellence from Trip Advisor, as well as other awards. 



Lakeside Restaurant and General Store
Located on Table Rock Lake, this is a family-run restaurant with terrific pizzas, burgers, sandwiches, and delicious shakes to go along with your meal. They have an awesome “Guinea Grinder” sandwich that is yummy! The service is friendly and you can get to this restaurant by land or water. The prices are also very reasonable and it’s opened seasonally. 


Farmhouse Restaurant
This is rated as one of Branson’s favorite eateries for everyone. It’s located in the historic, downtown part of Branson and offers home-style favorites. The country kitchen offers country-fried steak, fried chicken, fried catfish, and mouth-watering mashed potatoes. Save room for their signature blackberry cobbler. Don’t forget to stop in their gift shop where you’ll find some goodies to take back home.
Branson Café
This downtown café is known for their wonderful breakfasts, and has been serving customers since 1910. Their cinnamon rolls are delicious, as well as their burgers, chicken-fried steak, and pot roast. The service is also very attentive, friendly, and reasonably priced. 



Mel’s Hard Luck Diner
This is a 1950’s themed restaurant. Be prepared to eat some terrific burgers while being serenaded by some of Branson’s most talented singers. They also offer Orange Blossom Blue Plate Specials that include: shrimp, chicken fingers, and spaghetti. Try one of their famous Shake, Rattle, and Roll shakes or malts. Choose from several favorites including: birthday cake, root beer, and cookies and cream.
