In India, where we talk about Women empowerment almost everyday, some of the live examples there in society inspire us even more towards it. Kary Arora, known to be India’s first female DJ has grabbed a celebrated image in the society and empowered the women image in society. Present in the music industry since 1977, she successfully managed up in every role be it a music composer, singer, music director or an audio engineer. 

Recently in the Sundown Music Festival Ranchi, she set a true example of Women Empowerment managing a seven hours long event at Morabadi Maidan. She even exclaimed to media in a confident tone, ‘Betiyon par Ankush ka Zamana Gaya’ elucidating that now women are free and bygone the days of shackling them in barriers. She is the only lady having her name engraved in Limca Book of Records as well. And thus she is being the heartfelt inspiration to all women who are willing to do something incredible.

Women are stunning the whole world, be showcasing their talent on a national level or winning medals on an international level at Rio Olympics. They have spurred people all across the world. In Rio, India’s two medal winners are women. With an inspiring display of grit and willpower, PV Sindhu and Sakshi Malik floored people across the country. 

While, some people still believe that women deserve to be at home, Kary Arora and these Rio winners are a fitting response to their orthodox perception. They set their image as the lady having no disinclination rather an image of sheer confidence.

As per the words of Kary Arora, first female DJ in India, women are safe until they are confident. They need not think about their safety if they are confident enough to handle any situation. They are no more scared, hesitated or weak. Rather they have stood up with confidence making men see what they can do and even better than them. 

Now it’s time that women demand their position and name in the society and the Society prepares to accept it.
