Andrea Grant is a burn survivor who is currently 37 weeks pregnant, despite being told she couldn’t carry a baby past four months. She has since celebrated the feat with a pregnancy photo shoot that has gone viral, amassing more than 20,000 ‘likes’ and putting her in the national spotlight.

“I really didn’t think that was the response that was going to happen, but I’m honored,” Grant told WJAX. The images were shot by photographer Terrence Armand.

When she was nine years old, Grant and her brother were badly burned in a house fire due to a gas explosion. Years later, she is now using her platform to help other burn victims. Her group called “Beyond Scars” is backed by the American Red Cross.

Grant’s tragic incident has a very happy ending and it’s all smiles from here.

She said, “Once you build up your confidence, no one can take it down.”
