Today is World Intellectual Property Day.  This year’s theme is exploring the future of culture in the digital age. As you surf the web today, think about the blogs you read and how they are shaping the culture of tomorrow.

I like to acknowledge this day because I feel copyright is important for encouraging creativity. I consider the strong point of this website to be the photographs of the merchandise. Without copyright protection of those photographs, I would hesitate to post them. While the interpretive information for each exhibit is valuable, it could easily be recreated by anyone with access to the items. The photographs as taken are truly unique, and to me really represent the creative aspect of this website. I hope you enjoy them, and I will be presenting more soon!
