POST UPDATE 2.24.16

This week I got to chat with Chuck about Oscar Snubs!  This show was a little chaotic because the station's phone lines went down and pushed the show off schedule, so...

I didn't get a chance to talk about all I prepared, particularly wanted to get in the fact that Fusion Media Network & Russell Simmons’ All Def Digital are going to broadcast All Def Movie Awards Sunday night during the Oscars, with a humorous parody type awards show honoring black movies that got snubbed by the Oscars and adding in categories like Best Helpful White Person and Best Black Survivor in a Movie...

and discuss this great article from Entertainment Weekly, that polled several Academy Voters on why they didn't vote to give "Straight Outta Compton" a best picture nomination.... but THAT'S SHOW BIZ!  See radio embed below to listen or Or Click HERE to go to show site

My Segment starts 39.11

ORIGINAL POST 2.19.16
This world we've created of branding and self-promotion can be fun and liberating. We've been given these fantastic tools: social media, blogs, apps, podcasts, cameras readily at our disposal, so many great ways to communicate our passions; and yet it's also tough, because we're all doing it! Which makes it difficult to get to the next level.  More than anything else, even more than wanting to find a love interest, I want Tinsel & Tine to be what I do - No other job(s). To get there, it takes consistency, raising my profile and luck, as was the case last Friday...

When Chuck Darrow, long-time Philadelphia journalist of the Inquirer and Daily News, contacted me to start contributing a movie segment to his new radio program on WWDB-Talk Radio 860.  He was given my name by Kory Aversa CEO of Aversa PR & Events (by the way Kory is a nominee on the Philly Happening List for 2016 for Entrepreneur of the year - Vote HERE).

The program is call THAT'S SHOW BIZ with CHUCK DARROW the format covers Theater, Restaurants, TV, Music and Movies! Chuck has some great contributors who call into the show and discuss what's hot that week, with a real slant toward what's happening in Philly. Our segments are short, due to the hour long format of the show, which includes Chuck's interview with a celebrity guest.

I feel honored to be among these fab contributors:

Molly Eichel  - TV Critic @mollyeichel
Michael Klein - Food Critic @phillyinsider
A.D. Amorosi - Music Critic @ADAmorosi
Neal Zoren - Theater Critic @NealsPaper

The show is Live Tuesdays at 3pm, but of course the podcast gets posted to the site and can be found on iTunesRadio and I believe a couple of other podcast channels.

Here's Tinsel & Tine's debut which starts with "Deadpool"- my segment starts at 5:19 :

Le Anne Lindsay is the Editor of Tinsel & Tine a site that celebrates Film, Food & Philly Events. Starting in 2009 with the Philadelphia Film Society, Cinedelphia and Urbanspoon, she began blogging about the two things that never get old for her - going to the movies and eating good food. Having gained a loyal following who enjoy her upbeat writing style with a focus on showcasing and discussing a movie, rather than pulling it apart, Tinsel & Tine was created in 2010. Invitations from PR Agencies expanded her blog to feature profiles and highlights from restaurant openings and events. It now also includes a Philly Calendar with social media blasts for film, food/drink, theater, art and small biz events happenings in the city. Yet the site still remains movie-centric, offering weekly preview screening passes to Subscribers.
