“Sometimes you just need to breathe, trust, let go, and see what happens.” – Mandy Hale
Today was a good day, so I’m posting earlier than yesterday. I thought that quote fit in perfectly with this post, as it’s about my self confidence. I’ve always had low self-confidence, but who can blame me? Everyone’s judged all the time, so it’s no wonder loads of us feel bad about ourselves. An insecurity I have is my body type/shape. I always wear jeans and big, comfy jumpers and coats, but today, I made a change. I Wore a Dress. Admittedly, I wore converse and my leather jacket with it, but I’ve never worn a dress outside the house and felt comfortable. It was strange at first, but after a while, I got smiles from people I’d never met, and I felt confident about myself. I found myself smiling more and laughing louder, yet this was all down to a dress. Yes, it seems silly, but honestly? It was the most confident I’d felt in a while, and all because I’d made such a simple (although massive) change. x
