Abdul Hamid Adam
Abdul Hamid was born on April 10, 1910 in Talwandi Musa, a village in Gujranwala, (Punjab, Pakistan) Though, in his article published in magazine Funoon from Lahore, he transcribes that: since my father was living in Lyallpur (now Faisalabad) in April 1910, my arrival took place there. He had completed his early education at home and completed his matriculationfrom Islamia High School, Bhati gate, Lahore. After completing FA as a private, Adam had employed in military accounts. In 1939 after 10 years’ service he left for Iraq and married there with an Iraqi girl. After returning to India he had passed SAS examination and restored to the military accounts job. He was transferred to Rawalpindi after establishment of Pakistan. In 1948, he was appointed Deputy Assistant Controller of Military Accounts and retired from this position in April 1966. Nusrat Fateh Ali's famous Qawali "Halka Halka Saroor" was written by Adam. He died on 10 March 1981
