Okyeame Kwame: Daasebre rescued me when I was hopeless

Contemporary hiplife singer, Okyeame Kwame best known in showbiz as Rap Doctor has disclosed that the late highlife legend, Daasebre Gyamena rescued his dead music career.

According to him, the artist easily accepted his offer to be feature on his popular song, ‘Kokoko’
without any hesitation.

On radio show Friday, while paying tribute to his late fellow musician, rap doctor told radio host that he decided to star Daasebre on his track Kokoko due to the reason that at that time he was the most handsome artist in Ghana.

He told radio host, Andy Dosty., “I have known him [Daasebre Gyamena] before the two of us got to be prominent. Music Producer Mark Okraku used to manage Akyeame, Daasebre Gyamena and Lord Kenya. I was in the studio when he was recording his hit single ‘Kokooko’.”

He move along by saying, “when I came back from America in the year 2003, my career was totally dead and I was hopeless, then Daasebre came to save my career. I called him for a star as that around then, he was the most handsome artist in Ghana. When I got to the studio for recording of song, he had been there for two hours waiting for me.”

He said, this is a least example of his humility. He was a very good soul.  He showed that he will everlastingly remember his fellow musician for his humbleness and amazing writing abilities.
