Tullow: TEN project 90% completed

TEN Project in Jubilee Oil fields

Tullow Oil Plc has said the TEN Project in Jubilee Oil fields in Ghana in the West African country’s Western region is 90 per cent completed.

Tullow said in its latest update that 1st oil remains on target for July/August 2016.

The TEN Project is Tullow’s second development following the record delivery of the Jubilee field in 2010. It is expected to produce up to 80,000 barrels of oil per day.

Operated by Tullow, the TEN Project takes its name from the three offshore fields under development – Tweneboa, Enyenra and Ntomme – which are situated in the Deepwater Tano block, around 60 kilometres offshore Western Ghana.

Following start-up, a gradual ramp up in production towards plateau is anticipated during the second half of 2016. The field will add significant low-cost production to Tullow’s portfolio.

The TEN Plan of Development was approved by the Government of Ghana in May 2013. Since then, 11 wells have been drilled and the completions campaign is progressing well, according to Tullow.

Construction vessels started installing subsea production equipment in the fields in the third-quarter of 2015 and the bulk of that work is now complete.

CEO of Tullow Oil plc, Aidan Heavey, said: “It has been a very busy start to the year for Tullow. In West Africa, we have made excellent progress with the TEN Project, which remains on time and on budget”.
