The Chairman of the Supreme Consultative Council (SCC) of the Ghana Cocoa Board (COCOBOD), Alhaji Hassan Iddris has highly praised the Dr. Stephen Opuni’s administration as it has done great efforts for its effort in advancing the growth of the industry.

He said that CEO of the company Dr. Opuni is fully utilizing the practical and theoretical means for the better improvement of the Cocoa Industry in Ghana.
The Chairman of the Supreme Consultative Council (SCC) called on the entire workforce to assist the company administration for the enhancement of the economic and social growth of the country.
Alhaji Hassan Iddris said this while addressing a forum of Cocobod Workers at Kejebril in the Ahanta West District of the Western Region.
The forum of COCOBOD workers was to discuss the formation of a new union, “Cocoa Industry Workers Union” which aims to promote the welfare of the cocoa workers.
He said it is false that the current administration was either cutting back or transferring workers.
He said while touching on the salary of the CEO, this was determined by the appointing authorities who are paying him.
Alhaji Iddris said that fertilizers for the cocoa season had arrived and would soon be lift to the various cocoa growing areas.
