Yileh Chireh who’s the Member of Parliament for Wa West has  cautioned supporters of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) against political campaign via social media.

Yileh Chireh has expressed that the surest way to get the NDC retained is by visiting voters at the grassroots to espouse the work of the government.

The veteran lawmaker has represented to the NDC supporter that “Already several of you’re beginning to become Whatsapp politicians.”

Moreover, he represented that he has a lot of concerned about what’s happening WhatsApp, he said that he was born before computer technology,  however, but if people want to reach out to those who will vote for the NDC it is not necessarily WhatsApp.

The former Health Minister charged NDC communicators to be additional proactive by striking “the development that the NDC is polishing off.”

“Those of you who are in charge of communication, let us be careful that we approach people directly, and appeal to their consciences, let them see the development that the NDC is carrying out and see the future as a bright future.”

Ghana goes to the polls for the seventh time in the Fourth Republic to elect parliamentarians and a replacement president on November 7, 2016.

The presidential race is a close contest between incumbent President John Dramani Mahama and main opposition leader Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo. It’ll be the second time the couple faces off once the NDC flagbearer defeated the NPP candidate within the 2012 polls that was valid at the Supreme Court.
