Sonnie Badu: 02 Arena is too small for me

International Act, Minister Sonnie Badu

The gospel musician, Sonnie Nana Kwadwo Agyemang Badu disclosed that the O2 Arena is too small for him to organize a concert there and he is looking for large place.

After dance-hall commando, Shatta Wale’s latest concert at Indigo O2 in London, critics questioned why no Ghanaian gospel artist has ever performed at the spot and it looks like Sonnie Badu has a reply to all those asking that certain question.

‘I have been at the O2 Arena before. O2 Arena is too small for me. London is my home. O2 Arena is small since it takes about 2,500. If I am doing a show, I need 5000 accommodated in London. I have done O2 Arena before and that place is too small for Sonnie.’

Further he added that, ‘I have not just Ghana but all over Africa with me in London. As a matter of fact if I say I am undertaking a concert now it will be crowded by Africans and Caribbean.’

According to facts and figures the O2 Arena takes over 20,000 admirers but Indigo at the O2 where Shatta Wale and Sarkodie implemented takes about 2,500 people so maybe Sonnie is talking about Indigo at the O2 but not the O2 Arena.
