Pokemon Go Race Draws Hundreds In Hong Kong
Over 600 people race against the clock in Hong Kong to catch the hard-to-find characters, in what ‘Pokegame’ organizers say is the world’s first-ever Pokemon Go competition of its kind. Gavino Garay reports.

The Pokemon Go craze is taking over Hong Kong.

The infectious virtual reality app has gamers there determined to catch ’em all.

Some 600 people turned out for what organizers of the so-called ‘Pokegame’ say was the world’s first official competition of its kind.

Contestants had to take screenshots of 12 designated pokemon across three districts in order to win.

21-year-old Frankie Chu came out on top.

“When I heard I won, I was surprised, then I got so excited I screamed and shouted. Also, I have been running around since 2pm and I am extremely tired.”

Contrary to naysayers who say the game is a waste of time, Chu plans to use his winnings of about $400 towards his education fees.
