Did you know there is an annual Conference called The International Conference on Men’s Issues? It just passed this August. Who knew. I was always under the impression that it isn’t really sort of accepted socially for men to share issues. But I guess according to the conference’s success, I am wrong. Delving further into the conference and seminars – wow it’s a lot of feminist bashing? And considering how many people travel to this conference, I wonder is that how most men feel? I haven’t met any who would admit it out loud but wow. According to the site, some of the topics included:

Presentation – Professor Janice Fiamengo, ‘How Feminism is Destroying Higher Education’
and
Presentation – Karen Straughan, ‘Toxic Femininity’

I guess clear communication is a good thing… But come to think of it, maybe that’s why you never hear of this conference. Because most men would never admit to the women in their lives that they are attending. Well women always say “share your feelings”. I guess you have to start somewhere. I won’t be attending next year – I promise!
