Frequently Asked Questions Now On The Site

As wedding videographers, we find find there are certain questions which we get asked often. This is fine, as the nature of weddings means that people are going through this process for the first time, so the same questions coming up repeatedly is not surprising.

Add to that the fact that wedding videography is still a relatively new part of the wedding industry and it’s understandable that we receive a lot of the same questions through email, phone calls and during our meetings with couples.

To rectify this, we’ve written a new section of the site that we hope answers a lot of these questions whilst they are still in our couple’s heads: our Frequently Asked Questions section.

Of course, this doesn’t mean we’re now shutting up shop on answering questions. We still welcome enquiries of any kind. Still, this will be a useful page to link people to when an enquiry asks a common question that’s already been answered in detail.

We also hope that it will be a great resource for brides and grooms, even if they don’t necessarily go for our services.

Frequently Asked Questions…Explained

I quite like that sub-heading.

To give a little more of a description of what a Frequently Asked Questions (or FAQ, for short) section is, here’s a quick FAQ about a FAQ. According to Wikipedia, a Frequently Asked Questions, “are listed questions and answers, all supposed to be commonly asked in some context, and pertaining to a particular topic. The format is commonly used on email mailing lists and other online forums, where certain common questions tend to recur.”

Here is an example of a question, and answer, found in this new section of the site:

Do you record sound/audio for your wedding videos?

Yes, we’re pleased to say we do!
We’re also kind of surprised (and shocked!) when we discover just how many of our competitors don’t record sound for their wedding videos.
Sound is an incredibly important part of the emotion and story of the day. We record sound during the ceremony, the speeches and we often have cameras (or other devices) recording sound throughout the rest of the day.
On the subject of recording sound: it’s very important that, if you want us to film in your church/place of ceremony, then you have okayed this with the vicar/master of ceremonies, etc.
From time to time, we run into issues with churches (and especially vicars) not being very accommodating. We find that keeping the church notified about your intention to have video is the best bet.
Further, to achieve the best possible sound qualify, we prefer mic up the groom. This allows us to pick up the best possible sound during the vows and enables us to hear the bride, groom and vicar properly. The use of sound should also be cleared with your church.

So, if you have questions about wedding videography and our process (or even if you don’t!), feel free to check out our new Frequently Asked Questions section. We really like the dropdown style reveal effect for each question and think it’s going to be a big help to future couples who visit the site.

If we can help with a question not in the FAQ, just click here to ask.
