Wedding of Siarrad & David at Deer Park Hall in Pershore

The wedding of Siarrad and David in Pershore represented a couple of firsts for us, as well as a couple of familiar aspects.

The biggest first was that this wedding marked the first time we’ve used drone videography at Deer Park Hall, a fantastic venue just outside Pershore. And, actually, the first time our friends at Deer Park Hall have ever had drone/aerial videography on their site.

The familiar aspect was that we were again filming at one of our favourite venues, the aforementioned Deer Park Hall.

Our partner in crime for this wedding was the awesome Stephanie of Stephanie Baines Photography. Great to work with such an upbeat and fun photographer, who wasn’t afraid to push the envelope and try interesting shots throughout the day!

The day began with bridal preparations at Northwick Hotel Evesham. This wasn’t a super early start for us, as it was a later than usual wedding ceremony. The groom was also getting ready at Northwick Hotel, so Matt and Russ both began the day in the same place – this doesn’t usually happen!

The groom made his way over to Deer Park Hall at around 1pm to finalise preparations and ensure everything was running smoothly. We followed shortly afterwards and met up with our drone operator at the venue.

Great to get the drone up in the sky early and we were able to get some awesome establishing shots of the venue, as well as capturing that all important bridal arrival shot. We had cameras on the ground capturing it, but fantastic to get the aerial view as well!

After a short ceremony, the reception moved in the beautiful gardens around Deer Park Hall. Great to see the weather hold off for the entire day! The week before was pretty wet, with several bouts of torrential rain, so many guests described expecting the worst weather wise on the day.

Not so! The weather was dry throughout and the lack of bright sun actually help with the videography and photography.

We were able to get outside and all around the Deer Park grounds for some really cool creatives with the bride and groom. This is one of the best times of a wedding day for us as videographers and if you’re a couple reading this: make sure you block out some time to do outdoor creatives with the photographer and videographer. It really can be the difference between standard wedding photos/videos and some really captivating images when you see your photos and videos!

After the speeches and cake cutting, it was time for the First Dance festivities!

All in all, a fantastic day at Deer Park Hall. Brilliant to have the ceremony and reception at the same venue. Makes it so much more straight forward for us as wedding vendors, and gives us the time and opportunity to do some of our best work, rather than rushing around from place to place! Good to see more and more couples choosing to do the entire wedding day at one venue!

It was fantastic to get some brilliant drone shots around the Deer Park fields with the couple embracing and really forgetting the cameras are there. That’s what it’s all about! Natural!

We wish Siarrad and David all the best in their new lives together! Thanks for being such good sports, chilled out people to work with and having the patience to take time out of your busy day to walk around fields with us whilst we got some amazing footage for you!
