Early April weddings are always interesting to us from a scenery and backdrop perspective. This Wedding in April was no different. And, as an added bonus, we worked with a fantastic couple in Alice and Charlie, who are very much in love.
As with any April wedding, you can never be sure mother nature is going to be on your side, but with the exception of an early morning shower before we started filming, the whether was sunny and fantastic!
The photography for the day, which you’ll see throughout this blog post, was done by the very experienced, and equally awesome, David Purslow Photography.
We filmed at the beautiful St John Baptist Claines Church Worcester. It’s a very intimate church and the close quarters setting was very much in alignment with the intimacy of Alice & Charlie and their friends and family.
After the church service, and pictures outside the church (including a pretty cool confetti shot!), the couple boarded the vintage car waiting for them and made their way to the venue.
The venue was Alice’s parent’s house in Claines, just a short run from the church itself. Set in the beautiful Worcestershire countryside, the house is a large manor with sprawling gardens. It was great to film the couple amid this beautiful English countryside and it made for brilliant shots.
The speeches, as always, were a particular highlight and their were lots of in-jokes concerning the competition between the schools the couple had attended. We really enjoyed the best man speech that had the audience in hysterics.
After the cutting of the cake and other formalities, the band struck him and the dancing began. Great to see a large percentage of the guests getting on the dance floor and having some fun. That doesn’t always happen!
All in all, a fantastic wedding to attend and film in Worcestershire. We wish our friends Alice and Charlie much love and prosperity in their new lives together as man and wife.
