It appears Bols Pomegranate Liquer will be discontinued in Ontario, if not in all of Canada. This is being noted as a follow-up to the previous column posted in March. From Amsterdam, this liquer contains real pomegranate juice. It is now being sold in some LCBO stores for as low as $9.95. Let’s continue with our follow-up:

We previous discussed the benefits of elderberry. Pomegranate is another “wonder fruit”. It is known in some places as “the fruit with a crown”. While there are conflicting reports of some of its properties (Is it anti-bacterial; anti-viral; anti-fungal; anti-tumor?) all agree that it contains anti-oxidants. In plain English, pomegranates help boost the immune system. 

If you are going to use elderberry juice and are comfortable with drinking alcohol, Bols Pomegranate liquer is a great mix.
