The hype surrounding Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice has been unprecedented. The prospect of arguably the two most popular superheroes of them all facing off is mouth-watering. And the release of Warner Bros’ final trailer is about to break the internet.

Despite some rather detailed trailers in the past, Zack Snyder insists that the movie’s big secrets are yet to be revealed. And let’s hope so. But if the action in this latest trailer is anything to go by, we’re all in for a hell of a treat.

This new trailer features some rock music instead of the usual Hans Zimmer orchestral anthems. We see a lot more of Batman – and he’s looking awesome. More agile, faster and a lot more ‘superhero-like’ than Nolan’s Batman, Affleck’s version looks like it could be about to redefine the cinematic Batman once again.

This particular trailer is definitely aimed at the casual movie-goer. Lots of action, sexy people and rock music will play to a mainstream audience. Although it is interesting that Batman features far more prominently than Superman does. Is this an indication of the film’s content? Or could it be that people just prefer Batman?

There’s a lot of action, the reappearance of already-used footage and a bit more from Alfred here. Make the most of it people, as there will only be one or two more TV spots between now and the release of Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice on March 25th 2016.
